Marine Course

B.Tech Marine Engineering - 4 Year's

This above program is approved by the Directorate General Shipping, Government of India. Candidates become eligible to take up a career at sea as a junior / trainee engineer after completing B. Tech( Marine)  and mandatory STCW courses. After 6 months of sea service on board merchant vessels, they become eligible to write Class IV Part 'B' examination (Class IV Part 'A' examination, being exempted on the strength of the Degree awarded). Thereafter a Class IV Certificate of Competency is awarded by the Mercantile Marine Department, Government of India

Subsequently, they become Certified Engineer officers of Merchant Marine and are free to take up lucrative careers within the Shipping industry world-wide.

Eligibility :  10+2 with PCM 60 % aggregate  marks from recognized Boards/Universities. Minimum 50 % marks in English at 10+2 of 10th level is a must. Fluency in written and spoken English is expected.

 Age: Not exceeding 25 years on the date of commencement of training (Subject to DG’s guidelines as applicable).

Medical Fitness:  Medically fit with eyesight 6/6, with or without external aids. Maximum power permitted ± 2.5, No color blindness, Medical examination will be conducted by doctors approved by D.G. Shipping Govt. of India

 

 

B.Sc. Nautical Science - 3  year's

This above program is approved by the Directorate General Shipping, Government of India. The design of the course is as per the guidelines laid down by the Directorate. During the 3 years training at the Institute approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, the candidate undergoes theoretical cum practical exercises in navigation, Watch keeping, Seaman Ship, cargo and Bridge equipments etc. and complete mandatory STCW-95 courses. On successful completion of 3 years, B.Sc. (Nautical Science) is awarded to the candidates by recognized university and then he undertakes the sea phase of 12 months comprising on board ship training.

On successful completion of the training and passing the exam, he will be awarded with a Certificate of Competency by the Directorate General of Shipping.
